Supervisors stage protest against illegal terminations.

ISLAMABAD -- More than 200 Supervisors of the Basic Education community school, who had gathered from across the country, on Wednesday staged a protest against their illegal termination in front of National Education Foundation, in Islamabad.

The union President of the terminated teachers, Wahid Gauhar said that it has been eight months since they have been fired without a single allegation on any of the teacher or supervisor.

273 supervisors who were running the project across the country were terminated on 30 June 2012.

On 21,12,2012 the court gave decision in the favour of supervisor that they should be restored within a month but it has not been implemented.

The basic education community school teachers were terminated on 30 Jun, 2012 without being given any prior notice. The court had also said in its decision that the teachers should be restored within a month but so far it has not been implemented.

Later the Director Admin of National Education Foundation, Shahab Ullah assured the protesting supervisors that their issue would be solved within a month. He said that they have sent a summary of their demands to the Planning Commission and development after approval from the Secretary Education and training Choudhry Qamer Zaman.

"There is not a single allegation on any of our colleagues. This project of basic education is incomplete without us (Supervisor).

If a monitor and supervisor of any project is stopped from working so how can a project could be run smoothly," Aneel Javed, a supervisor from Narowal explained while talking to this news agency

Muhammad Jaffer khan, a supervisor from Loralai, Balochistan said that it has been eight months that we visiting the provincial offices for our demands but no one is moved to hear our grievances. "After the termination I am unable to fulfil the basic needs of my families so I am really in bad situation. We have got together in Islamabad for our restoration," he added.

The project director Sajid Baloch informed the protesting supervisors that their names were not even present in the Planning commission list that has been created by the Basic Education Community School themselves.
