Sunshine Group expands resales.

The Sunshine Group Ltd., a Manhattan-based real estate marketing and consulting firm, is announced the expansion of its resale division.

According to Joan Kaplan, founder of the resale division for The Sunshine Group, the initial objective of the firm's resale efforts was simply to resell those co-op and condominium apartments originally sold by The Sunshine Group.

"Considering natural turnover and the fall-off in new construction," she says, "resale was the next logical step."

Once those units were sold, however, Kaplan saw the opportunity for expansion and began developing a division which could branch out into general resale brokerage.

Among the properties currently handled by The Sunshine Group are three penthouse apartments located on the top floors of 525 Park Avenue. Each penthouse features over 4,000 square feet of space, with such amenities as a duplex solarium and 3,000 square feet of terrace space. Although the asking prices range from $3.9 million to $4.7 million for each, The Sunshine Group has already sold two of these penthouses to date.
