Sunny day crimes only in Midlands.

DRONES that don't fly in the rain - so this is what our police force does with all the money they collect from the motorist.

Little wonder the criminals don't get caught.

In these dangerous times let's hope any terrorist activity only takes place on a nice sunny day.

But seriously, doesn't the police technical and procurement department have specifications when spending our money? And surely there must be technical criteria for a drone that would fly in all weather conditions? What next? Torches that only work in daylight? Saturday-only patrol cars? The PS19,000 has been spent on drones that must be nearly useless in the Great British weather.

Keystone Kops leaps to mind, but this wouldn't be fair to the hard-working beat bobby who puts his life on the line, and has to rely on equipment totally inadequate for the job, bought by bosses who seem totally detached from reality.
