LAHORE -- The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has announced that the group will observe 'Vote Importance Day' on Friday. In a statement on Monday, SIC Chairman Sahibzada Fazal Karim has said that clerics would delivered Friday sermons on the importance of vote.

The Sunni Ittehad Council head said the current politics of Pakistan was based on feudalism, ethnicity and family instead of ideology.

Sahibzada Fazal Karim said if the nation voted for them, they would change the fate of the country. He said the caretaker setup should be negotiated immediately. "Provincial governments are doing pre-poll rigging," he said.
