Sundog Energy, a UK company that designs and installs renewable energy systems, announced today that it is expanding its recently launched solar advice centre to include renewable energy solutions such as wood-pellet biomass boilers, ground and air source heat pumps, solar water heating and wind turbines.
The company said its new Renewable Energy Advice Centre provides advice and hands-on displays of typical products and systems based on its 16 years of experience. A display of the components that fit together to form a complete solar PV system also includes a full sized demonstration roof showing how PV panels are mounted on a building and examples of products like solar PV panels, inverters and monitoring equipment. Visitors can also see Sundog's state-of-the-art 14kW PV system, which produces a large part of the company's electricity needs and provides a steady index-linked income.
According to Sundog, hotels, farms, small and large businesses are becoming aware of the benefits and financial returns that are available from renewable energy solutions. Currently the UK Government's Renewable Heat Initiative (RHI) provides a pay-back for biomass (wood fuelled) boilers and other renewable heat technologies for commercial, industrial and domestic community heating projects, the company said adding that domestic projects are currently eligible for Government grants.
Sundog's advice centre is next to Sundog's main office and warehouse, which is located between Penrith and Keswick, on the North Lakes Business Park. It is open from 10:00GMT until 16:00GMT.
