Sun-Maid raisins a big hit for Halloween treats. (Supplier News).

Pleasanton, Calif.-based Sun-Maid promoted its Mini-Snack Raisins for the Halloween season by offering a 480-bag Mini-Snack Raisin bin, along with a new 240-count version to retailers. Featured as a wholesome, 100% natural alternative to candy, the packages incorporate the produce industry's "Eat 5 A Day for Better Health" message to encourage year-round consumption of raisins. "Halloween is always a peak-season profit opportunity for our retail partners," says Rob Muller, director of marketing for Sun-Maid. "Raisins are the perfect choice for moms seeking a better alternative to candy."
