Sun Microsystems Inc has made available an early access version of its Java plug-in for Microsoft's new Windows XP operating system.

The Java plug-in for Windows XP is a software component that allows computers to run Java programs, also called applets, inside the web browsers. It is compatible with browsers on all versions of Windows, including Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5.5 SP2 and 6.0, and with Netscape version 6.0 and higher.
