Sun Life Financial and Kony Deliver First Mobile Application in Canada for Group Insurance Plan Members.

Global Financial Services Organization is first in Canadian insurance industry to offer new mobile app on iPhone and Blackberry

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Sun Life Financial, an international financial services organization with corporate headquarters in Canada, has selected Kony Solutions, the leading mobile application platform provider to successfully deploya new mobile solution for their customers. The first in the Canadian insurance industry, the My Sun Life (Canada) mobile application, provides existing group benefits, retirement and savings plan members across Canada the ability to submit benefit claims, check plan balances and find ways to save for the future in a single mobile offering.

Group plan members with an iPhone or BlackBerry[R] can download the free app directly from each manufacturer's application marketplace. Using the mobile application, customers can now use their smartphones anytime, anywhere to:

* Submit medical and dental claims -- the majority being reimbursed into bank accounts within 24 to 48 hours

* View previously submitted claims

* Access drug and travel coverage card information

* View retirement savings

* Access financial planning tools to assist with ongoing savings efforts

"We evaluated competitive offerings, and chose Kony to launch our mobile solution as we found e-claims are becoming very popular with our customers. We expect this app to contribute to our overall growth in our Group Benefits e-claims which have so far totaled 1.7 million, up 73 per cent in the first three quarters of this year over the comparable period in 2010," said Alice Thomas, vice president, digital, CRM, Contact Center Application Services for Sun Life Financial.
