Summit completes acquisition of insurance marketing magazines.
The acquired assets include two magazines and an industry database. Agent Media's eProducer Connect database includes more than 1.67 million producers, including every licensed agent and registered representative in the U.S. The company also produces "Agent's Sales Journal" and "Insurance Marketing" magazines as well as email marketing programs and direct mail services.
"Agent's Sales Journal" is both a national and regional publication for licensed life, health and annuity sales agents. It produces 12 regional editions for a controlled circulation of 425,000 as well as a monthly national edition distributed to 50,000 sales agents and related sales executives. Content focuses on sales technology, prospecting, handling objections, closing and new products and trends.
"Insurance Marketing" magazine is published ten times a year and distributed on a controlled basis to 13,500 marketing general agents, brokerage general agents, agency managers, and insurance company marketing executives. Content covers technology, agent training, variable and index products, life settlements, annuities, health insurance, life insurance, benefits market, agent recruitment, and long term care insurance.
Summit Business Media President Joe Bennett said that Agent Media "offers one of the most extensive databases available for the life insurance industry. The acquisition will enhance our existing product line in the life and health market by giving us a wider range of products and services."
Summit division Highline Media (Erlanger, KY) produces six titles for the insurance industry including "Life Insurance Selling" and "American Agent & Broker" magazines as well as the weeklies "National Underwriter Property/Casualty" and "Life/Health."
