Summer school for budding musicians.

BUDDING musicians with a whim to play or learn an instrument are being invited to a Summer Music School being staged in Coventry this month.

The Second Hand Band is urging people of all abilities to make their way to Bablake Old Boys Club off Hill Street, for a wide range of music days.

On Saturday, August 9, from 10am until 1pm, the band will be playing Bach and from 2pm until 4pm.

Anyone interested in learning to play the guitar can have a lesson for pounds 1.

Visitors must be over the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult.

Then on Wednesday, August 13, musicians of all ages are being invited to take part in a morning of creative play.

Three 45-minute sessions are being staged for different age groups and each costs pounds 5 per person and parents are welcome to attend.

On Saturday, August 16, from 10am until 1pm, the Second Hand Band will be playing William Tell and all abilities are welcome to attend. Recorder lessons will be held that afternoon, from 2pm until 4pm, costing pounds 1.
