New York: The Sultanate of Oman has been elected to chair the 35th session of the Committee on Information, affiliated to the United Nations (UN), for the period from 2013 to 2014. Lyutha bint Sultan bin Ahmed Al Mughairiyah, representative of the Sultanate to the UN, chaired the session's meetings, which began on Monday in New York. The Committee on Information is in charge of enhancing the UN's image around the world.
