Sultanate Takes Part at International Radio Amateurs Contest.

Muscat, July 15 (ONA) --- The Royal Omani Amateur Radio Society (ROARS) takes part at the annual international contest organized by the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) with participation from more than (200) associations from different parts of the world. The contest is divided into three categories. At the first category, the single operator where the amateur will contact his colleagues from different parts of the world and seek to achieve the biggest number of radio communications. At the second category, the teams, which comprises five amateurs seeking to conduct many communications with other teams. At the third category, the associations, many teams from radio amateurs associations will join hands and form one team that will contact the associations in different parts of the world. The aim behind participation of the Royal Omani Amateur Radio Society (ROARS) in this contest is to expand its participation and enhance the technical capabilities of the Omani amateur in this field. --- Ends/ MS/ KH
