Suicide bombing kills 4, wounds 11 people in Afghanistan.
ISLAMABAD, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- At least four security personnel were killed and 11 others wounded on Wednesday when their vehicle was attacked by a suicide bomber in the heart of Afghan capital city Kabul, said officials. Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman, Sediq Sediqqi confirming the casualties told media that a suicide bomber attacked a vehicle carrying operatives of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) at the Pule Mahmoud Khan area near the Defense Ministry. Head of Kabul Crime Investigation Department (CID), Fridon Obaidi confirmed it had been a suicide attack and police are investigating the incident. A suicide bomber targeted an employee's vehicle and as a result 11 people were wounded and we have transferred them to hospital. "Three of the wounded people are in critical condition," he added. No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attack but Taliban rebels have targeted security personnel and government installations several times in the past. The attack came days after an apparent suicide bombing at the at Bagram Airfield, the largest United States base in Afghanistan, killing four Americans, including two service members and two contractors.
