Sue Carroll's column: Mogadon monarchy.

I'M DELIGHTED the monarchy have come clean about doping dumb animals in the Royal household. How else do you explain the docile subdued mob they've all become?

Gone are the days when they displayed skittish and nervy behaviour in social situations. Now they often look totally wiped out.

It's all a far cry from Fergie throwing sugar around on planes, Philip mocking the Chinese for their "slitty eyes", Edward prancing in pantyhose for It's A Royal Knockout or Andrew spraying paint all over the Press.

Clearly having approved the sedation of horses in the Royal stables the Queen gave a tacit nod in the direction of her family.

A word of advice to HRH though. Judging by his current state of docility I suspect Andrew's been getting industrial strength doses. Is Fergie tampering with his G&Ts?
