The contract covers engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning in connection with the development of the Chinguetti field offshore Mauritania in West Africa.

The work includes transport and installation of three subsea manifolds with flowlines and risers.

"This is an extremely prestigious award for our company being the first oil and gas development offshore Mauritania and also Subsea 7's first major deepwater project in West Africa," commented Jan Willem van der Graaf, vice president of Subsea 7.

One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.547 British pounds (GBP).
