Subscription rates for home delivery of newspaper to rise.

Byline: The Register-Guard

Subscription rates for daily and Sunday home delivery of The Register-Guard will increase Thursday.

Rates for four weeks of delivery will increase 50 cents for Pay-by-Mail subscribers. The price of the newspaper for carrier-collect subscribers will increase from $12.00 to $12.50 per month for Eugene/Springfield residents. Delivery outside the city zone will increase from $12.50 to $13.00 per month. The Register-Guard will honor current discounts and subscription terms for subscribers who pay in advance.

Subscribers who are on Easy-Pay, or Pay-by-Mail programs, will receive written notification of the increase prior to their next renewal date.

The increase in the home delivery rate is the first for Register-Guard subscribers since March 2004.

The newspaper's independent carriers will share in the increase.

Newsstand rates will not change. For more information about the rate change, call The Register-Guard Circulation Department at 485-3311.
