Subaru STi gets the bad boys going.

THE ultimate bad boy's hot hatchback, the Subaru Impreza WRX STi, will hit UK roads in January.

The 4x4, 148mph model with six-speed gearbox fed from the 265PS engine is distinguished from the current series with a heavily modified engine, larger brakes and tyres and will have smoked glass projector beam headlamps.

Under the skin is a highly modified 2.0 litre, four-cylinder engine with better induction, reworked suspension, steering and transmission, while inside the interior has been revised.

There will be two versions, a standard STi and a big-winged, deep-chinned Prodrive Style derivative, looking similar to the WRC rally car, and featuring dark blue-coloured instruments with red needles.
