Suarez made to wait on biting ban appeal.

LUIS SUAREZ must wait until next week to discover if his appeal against a four-month ban for biting has been successful.

The Barcelona new boy and his lawyers stated their case yesterday at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

And they hope to have the punishment cut in half, freeing PS75million man Suarez to make his Barca debut from August 25.

The Uruguayan copped his lengthy ban from all football-related activity and a nine-game international suspension after biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

And lawyer Alejandro Balbi, who is also a member of Uruguay's FA, said: "Legally it's easier to contend against the terms of the ban that forbid him from training and being at the club because they violate fundamental rights."
