Style gurus dress birthday Abbey; TINA MILES AND DAWN COLLINSON ... OUR GIRLS IN THE KNOW INSIDER GOSSIP.
MODEL Abbey Clancy oozed Hollywood glamour as she celebrated her 30th birthday, but the stunning look was actually made in Liverpool.
The Britain's Next Top Model judge enlisted her designer pals Philip Armstrong and Tony Burke to create a Great Gatsbystyle show-stopper for her 1920s-themed party at the Rah Rah Room club, in London's Piccadilly Circus.
And the pair delivered a sensational black tulle gown covered in thousands of tiny crystals complete with headpiece and deep plunging back.
Abbey chose the dress from the designers' latest exclusive collection.
"She rang us a couple of days before Christmas and came in to see us on Christmas Eve," explains Philip. "We were in the middle of making our atelier collection for 2016 which went to Paris last week, she tried on one of the dresses and absolutely adored it so we made it for her. She came back last Thursday to try it on, loved it, we tweaked it and then took it to her on Saturday."
Philip says the gown, with its 1920s headpiece and black chantilly lace trim, reflects the theme running through the whole collection.
"It's a very glamorous collection with beautiful beaded fabrics," says Philip. "It's very Hollywood red carpet dressing."
