The World Bank, formally known as The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development has leased the entire 144,044-square-foot office building at 1909 K St. N.W., Washington, D.C., for a five-year term.

Robert Hines and J. William Reich, senior managing directors of Julien J. Studley, Inc.'s Washington, D.C.-based Developer Services Group, represented the owner, The Tower Companies, and were the sole brokers in the transaction.

The eight-story building previously housed the American Association of Retired Persons' headquarters operation. The Association relocated to a new building this past summer.
