Students tune up for competition.

MUSICIANS from Coventry University are running a composing contest for students under 25 and school pupils.

They are looking for pieces of up to three minutes for a woodwind quintet of flute, oboe, clarinet in b flat, French horn and bassoon.

The winning works will be performed at a concert on Thursday May 12.

Entries as pdf files and midi recordings including contact details and photocopied ID or a letter from a teacher confirming entrants are under 25 should be sent to or posted to Woodwind Composition Competition, ETG 42, Ellen Terry Building, Coventry University, Jordan Well, Coventry, CV1 5RW by Tuesday April 26.
