Student in birth mix-up US trip ban; TRAVEL.

STUDENT Jennifer Mitchell can't fly to America as she shares her name and birthday with a US woman wanted for unpaid speeding fines.

Jennifer, 24, who cannot drive, spent last summer at a US kids' camp. She returned at Christmas when immigration pulled her up. They told her about the woman before flagging her through.

The University of Central Lancashire student booked flights to return this summer but the US Embassy in London refused her a visa.

She said: "Each time they put my name in the computer, it flashed up red. It could take three months to sort. Camp will be over."

The Embassy said "it does not always take that long".
