Sherratt's unwelcome attention, a judge at Warwick Crown Court heard.
Sherratt,19, of Winfield Road, Coleshill, was given a community order with 12 months supervision after admitting indecent exposure.
He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for five years and pay pounds 300 compensation to his victim.
Prosecuting, Kristina Montgomery said that as a result of her ordeal the girl was now nervous about going out and travelling alone.
Sherratt had entered his guilty plea at an earlier hearing.
