Student's Far East dream job.

A high-flying international student from Tyneside has landed her dream job in Singapore after graduating with a degree which she started in Germany and completed in Newcastle.

Anna Klaer, aged 24, from Speyer, in southern Germany completed the BA international business management completion award programme at Northumbria University's Business School.

Now she has landed her dream job with international shipping group Eastport Maritime at their headquarters in Singapore.

She said: "This is a dream come true for me and I will be putting everything I have learned into practice, supporting marketing initiatives through provision of market intelligence reports.

"I spent a week in Singapore in May, which was excellent and I know the course has really helped prepare me for this exciting new position."

Anna's degree involved international business issues, international marketing, finance, operations and strategy and also covered research methodology. She also studied English. The programme allows students to study in their home country before coming to Newcastle.
