Strong Bahrain-Philippines ties praised.

02 : 41 PM - 24/04/2018 Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa, met at the Ministry's General Court today, the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs at the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, Sarah Lou Y. Arriola, who is on a visit to Bahrain from April 24 to 26. They reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Philippines. The visit reflects mutual keenness to reinforce historic friendly relations between the two countries and enhance cooperation in various fields of common interests. The visit also mirrors both countries' interest in developing relations based on mutual respect and guaranteeing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries in light of the diplomatic ties of over 40 years. During the meeting, both sides discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation at all levels, especially in the political, economic and labour fields, in light of the keenness of the two leaderships to push these relations to wider horizons in the interest of both countries and peoples, and to exchange official visits in reference to the successful visit of the President of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain in April. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the active role of the Philippine community and its contribution to the development process in the Kingdom, noting the progress in relations and continued cooperation between the two friendly countries regarding various issues. The Undersecretary expressed her sincere appreciation of the efforts of the Philippines Embassy to promote bilateral relations at all levels, wishing the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs at the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs continuous success. The Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs at the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs expressed happiness about meeting with Dr. Shaikha Rana, praising strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines and the government's support to the Philippine community. She praised the community's satisfaction at their presence in the Kingdom, wishing further cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields. She also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity. The two sides affirmed the importance of continuing regular bilateral consultations through the existing mechanisms between the two countries, and the need to strengthen relations in various fields.
