Strong 3rd quarter drives Warsteiner.
Continued high sales for Germany's Warsteiner beer were disclosed recently for both the third quarter and 1991's year-to-date.
According to Diane Fall, Warsteiner Importers Agency president, "U.S. Warsteiner sales during the third quarter continued with exceptional vigor, exceeding sales of the same period a year earlier by 30 percent. During the first nine months of 1991, Warsteiner sales rose 33 percent when compared with the same period in 1990."
These numbers, Fall added, "come as a result of more taste-conscious beer drinkers discovering the availability of the best-tasting beer sold in America.
"Significant for Warsteiner this fall is the fact that we have been chosen by the Army/Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) to be their official German beer for the military Octoberfest season celebrations at bases around the country," Fall explained. "The U.S. military has always been a strong market for Warsteiner because so many service people first experienced the taste while on assignment in Germany. Now they will be reminded that taste is available in this country."
