Stroh huddles up with Golden Gophers.

Stroh's and Stroh's Light beers have teamed up with the University of Minnesota to offer fans of Golden Gophers football a chance to "Go-pher" free football tickets to two Minnesota home games in September.

During the promotion, fans will receive two tickets for the price of one when they present a "buy one, get one free" coupon when purchasing tickets to the September 12 game against San Jose State or the September 19 game against Colorado.

Coupons, which are found in Stroh's 15- and 30-packs and at tear-off pad locations, may be redeemed at the U. of M. Bierman Ticket Office, the Men's Athletic Display at the Minnesota State Fair or at the Metrodome on game day.

"Gopher football games and Stroh's beer are two Minnesota traditions, so we want to offer fans a chance to double their fun through this two-for-one offer," related Scott Rozek, Stroh Brewery Co.'s brand director for Stroh's and Stroh's Light. "The coupons serve a double purpose, by attracting Gopher fans and Stroh's customers to our displays."

The offer is for residents in Minnesota over 21 years of age.

To further support Gopher football this season, Stroh's is co-hosting the "MinneStrohta Fest," outdoor "tailgate" parties at Seven Corners in Minneapolis before each of six home games.
