Stroh announces "Gusto" 20-pack.

The Stroh Brewery Co. has announced the introduction of a 20 can value pack in selected markets.

Stroh reports that consumers in eight states will be able to purchase Schlitz and Schlitz Light in the new package.

"We've found that consumer acceptance of bonus and value packages, such as 15-, 20- and 30-packs is widespread because of the savings and convenience they offer," said Ed Kopecky, Schlitz brand director.

"By offering four less cans than the standard 24-pack, Schlitz and Schlitz Light can be sold at a more attractive price and consumers have the option to take home a value-priced package," he said.

According to Kopecky, the Schlitz and Schlitz Light "Gusto" 20-packs of 12-oz. cans will bear a red, white and blue seal to remind consumers of their value.
