Striking a chord.
A NEW club for devotees of blues and roots music has been launched in Northumberland.It will meet in Morpeth on the second Sunday of every month from 2pm-5pm in La Bodega Tapas Bar in the town's Manchester Street.
Launched by Morpethbased musician Martin Fletcher, the club will provide a regular showcase for Delta blues and Americana artists from all over the UK.
Fans can join the Facebook group Morpeth Blues 'n Roots Club or email mef@bw3.co.uk for membership. Members receive discounted admission to events.
The next show is on Sunday April 10 featuring Martin and his band Dukes of Ellington. Admission is free.
