Strike call withdrawn.

FAISALABAD -- All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA) has withdrawn its strike call and sit-in protest at Abdullah Pur Intersection.

The decision of withdrawal of strike call was taken after a successful negotiation of the leaders of the APTPMA including its chairman Sheikh Khalid Habib and its other leaders Waheed Khaliq Ramay, Chaudhary Habib Gujjar with the District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal and City Police Officer (CPO) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar.

In an announcement here on Monday, the leaders of the APTPMA said that the administration has assured us on behalf of the government to resolve our grievances about the proceedings under sections 38-A and 40-B of Sales Tax.

We believe that the government would resolve our problems and in the national interest we have withdrawn our strike and protest call, they added.
