Strike, demos in Tral against Indian troops' atrocities.
ISLAMABAD:In Indian occupied Kashmir, complete strike, marked by anti-India demonstrations, was observed in Tral town of Pulwama district, Friday, against the arrest of youth and other brutalities by the Indian troops.
According to Kashmir Media Service, all shops and business establishments were closed in the town while traffic is off the road.
Indian police had arrested eleven people in the last couple of days during nocturnal raids in the town.
People took to streets and staged forceful demonstrations demanding an end to the brutalities of the Indian forces' personnel and release of the arrested youth.
Indian troops and police personnel had intensified nocturnal raids in Tral. The forces' personnel had erected barricades at all the entry and exit points of the town. Locals told media that all vehicles are being thoroughly frisked at various check points set up by the police and troops.
On the other hand, Indian troops had launched a cordon and search operation in Thayen Kalaroos area of Kupwara district.
