Strife of Brian as rival Josh loses rag.

BIG Brother's two gay stars were at war last night after Josh threatened to batter Brian.

He finally snapped after days of bitchy jibes from the wisecracking air steward.

As they prepared for bed early yesterday, Josh told Brian: "You can throw it out but you can't take it."

Brian angrily accused Josh of not understanding him, but Josh told him: "If we were on the outside I would punch your bloody lights out."

Neither was in the mood to back down yesterday as they carefully avoided each other.

Normally bubbly Brian, 22, sat outside in silence. Josh, 32, seemed less upset, talking calmly with the others.

Tensions between the pair have been running high since Josh arrived two weeks into the series. Brian felt threatened and said Josh was the sort of gay man he didn't like.

Josh put up with his merciless teasing but admitted in the diary room: "It gets a bit wearing."

The jibes at Josh also annoyed Dean, who called Brian "a nasty spoilt child".

Brian told Big Brother he regretted "things I have said and done" to Josh.
