Strictly's lost one of its best in Cole; #Madeuthink; WHAT WE'RE ALL SAYING.

Byline: Edited by FIONA PARKER

#WHAT on earth is the BBC doing not renewing Brendan Cole's contract for Strictly? He is a well-respected dancer and as such he is surely entitled to air his opinions on the programme?

The viewers should demand that Brendan be reinstated in time for the next series in the autumn.

He was there right at the beginning of the show in 2004 and is well liked by many viewers. Come on, BBC, reinstate him!

Mike Minchella Scarborough, North Yorks

#I agree with Fiona Phillips, Brendan has brought this on himself (Mirror, Jan 31).

He is a big personality who admits he doesn't always get on with his celebrity partners and his clashes with the judges weren't in the spirit of the show.

He has had a 13-year run on Strictly - a considerable time in the world of showbusiness - but it's definitely the right time for him to go.

Janine Wallis, Brighton

#Oh no! Brendan is my favourite dancer on the show. He is a true professional and I love his strong personality. I knew this would happen as Shirley Ballas didn't take kindly to him speaking out.

This is a big mistake, BBC. Also, Brendan would have made a great judge while Anton du Beke would make a great compere.

Listen to your viewers, BBC! Claudia's supposed jokes make me cringe.

Rhonda Kimberley, Alicante, Spain

#The problem with Brendan Cole is he thinks he is bigger than the show. He is too egotistical and didn't get on with the new head judge Shirley Ballas.

He thought he was indispensable but has found out, the hard way, that he wasn't. Also, he hasn't had much success with his celebrity partners in recent years which tells you that he perhaps doesn't know how to get the best out of them.

H Cox, Sunderland

#So, Strictly bosses have sacked Brendan. I am so angry because he is an exceptionally good dancer, who sticks up for his celebrity partners. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

The show will miss him, both in terms of his personality and his performances. His choreography has been outstanding throughout.

Janet Davies, Falmouth, Cornwall

#Brendan Cole seems a very arrogant man. Yes, he is a great dancer but he is so full of himself.

He was always very opinionated and judges on TV talent shows don't like that. Doesn't Brendan realise that everyone can be replaced?

Noreen O'Mahony via Facebook

#I am disgusted that this has happened because, for me, Brendan was always such a big part of Strictly.

The show won't be the same from now on.

I, for one, will support him as much as I can and go to his live shows.

Lynda Newson, Hawarden, Clwyd

THE BIG ISSUE

BBC bosses faced a backlash from viewers after dropping pro-dancer Brendan Cole from Strictly Come Dancing after 15 series. The outspoken Kiwi had run-ins with new head judge Shirley Ballas as well as Craig Revel Horwood. You have mixed views on the decision to axe Brendan
