Street hit in blast mystery.

A STREET in Bootle was cordoned off last night after it was rocked by a mystery explosion.

The blast happened at a house in Keble Road, Bootle, at around 11.30pm, and led to police cordoning off the road while they carried out an investigation.

There were no injuries, but five houses and two cars had their windows blown out by the force of the blast.

A Keble Road resident said: ``I was sitting watching television when all of a sudden there was this massive explosion which shook the whole street. It was terrifying.''
