FAIRFAX, Va.--(BW HealthWire)--July 10, 2001

Strategic INFO, a provider of knowledge management solutions to the healthcare industry, announced today that it has developed a customized version of LearningTrax.

This web-enabled database may be purchased by each of the American Heart Association's Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) training centers.

Strategic INFO's LearningTrax can help track students, instructors, course information, training and medical education programs. It is a powerful, fast, browser-based, user-friendly solution that has been customized to help training centers report specific data required by the American Heart Association.

In addition, the product can help training centers by centralizing all their data and providing functions designed specifically for them.

The 3,500 members of the training center network provide American Heart Association training courses, including the latest information in adult, child and infant resuscitation techniques. These courses include basic CPR training and early advanced life support for course instructors, health professionals and the general public.

Strategic INFO also will explore the need to develop other web-based tools to meet the needs of the American Heart Association and its training centers.

"This strategic alliance with the American Heart Association is of great importance to our company," said John Lannen, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic INFO. "We are the first company to develop a customized software solution for the American Heart Association's national network of training centers as well as for larger corporations that provide training for their employees. This market represents a significant growth opportunity for Strategic INFO, and we are pleased to be working with a prestigious organization like the American Heart Association."

"We have reviewed this new web-based data system and think it will be extremely useful in helping our training centers streamline their administrative operations," said Robin McCune, director of national corporate accounts at the American Heart Association
