Straight to the point.

AFTER sitting down and reading the Echo's Viewpoints section on July 7, I found myself with a lingering smile on my face.

What I had read really tickled me.

I thought I couldn't possibly have read the editor's note underneath Barrie Kirkness' letter concerning the Russell Brand controversy correctly.

Apparently Bernard Matthews, Norfolk turkeys magnate, is easily confused with a recently deceased toupee-sporting controversial northern comedian, sharing the same Christian name.

I am currently wondering if Mr Bob Cypher in his editor's note was supposed to be referring to close-to-the-knuckle comedy acts at this point or perhaps was still reeling from a bad experience with a processed turkey product?
