Strabag wins PPP order in Denmark.

(ADPnews) - Jan 7, 2010 - Austrian construction group Strabag SE (WBAG:STR) said today its consortium, KMG - Kliplev Motorway Group, was awarded the first ever public-private-partnership (PPP) project in Denmark.

The total investment costs stand at EUR 148 million (USD 212.2m), Strabag said in a press release.

KMG will build a stretch of 26 km (16.16 miles) from the M51 motorway between Kliplev and Sonderborg. In addition, the consortium will build 18 km of side roads and seven interchanges and will operate the stretch for 26 years.

Based on the outcome of the M51 contract, further PPP projects may follow in Denmark, CEO Hans Peter Haselsteiner said. The company has invested strongly in the Scandinavian countries since 2008.
