Finland-based Stora Enso has appointed Citigroup Inc (NYSE :C) as successor depositary bank for its Level 1 American Depositary Receipt (ADR) programme.

Stora Enso's head of Investor Relations, Ulla Paajanen-Sainio, said, 'I am delighted to start working again with Citi as our Depositary Bank and to further expand Stora Enso's and Citi's relationship. The ADR holders are an important shareholder base for Stora Enso and significantly broaden the Company's investor base in North America. Therefore, it is important for us to work closely with Citi to further leverage their resources, their strong global and North American presence and commitment to equities, especially the ADR investor base. Our aim is to increase our visibility as a renewable materials company.'
