Security software provider Stonesoft Corp has launched a new firewall solution for the eServer zSeries mainframe from IBM.
The StoneGate High Availability Firewall and VPN solution runs on Linux on a zSeries server and is used to increase the security of virtual servers and virtual networks. The solution also eliminates the need to place a firewall between front and back end applications, leading to cost and time savings, according to Stonesoft.
Pricing information for the StoneGate High Availability Firewall and VPN solution was not revealed.
