Stones in Pique's world best team.
BARCELONA defender Gerard Pique has named John Stones in his world football dream team.
Pique is considered one of the best centrebacks in the world, especially on the ball.
The 28-year-old has won every major honour for both club and country.
Pique named Stones alongside himself and Sergio Ramos in his world XI.
Pique said: "Now the position of the centreback is not just about defending or being nasty or tough.
"It's about knowing how to play football, control the ball, pass and be more comfortable in possession.
"And now there is Stones - he's one of the new generation who understand football not just as a defender."
Stones joins the likes of Barcelona's front three - Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar - as well as David de Gea and Sergio Busquets in Pique's best XI.
Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta, past and present at Camp Nou, are also in Pique's team.
