Stolen car used in fuel thefts.

POLICE are appealing for information after a car was stolen in Gateshead and used in two fuel thefts.

The car was stolen at 3am on Sunday, May 12, when it was parked on a drive outside an address at Rectory Road East, in Felling.

The vehicle is a blue Hyundai Trajet, registration - NX03LSF.

It has subsequently been linked to two fuel thefts.

The first happened at around 5.15pm the same day, when petrol was taken from the Sainsbury's filling station at Eleventh Avenue on the Team Valley Trading Estate at Gateshead.

The second happened at 9.29pm the following day, when petrol was taken from a filling station at Parson's Road, Washington.

Anyone with any information about these incidents, or who has seen the car, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191.
