Stockhausen expands superabsorbent capacity.

A new manufacturing facility for superabsorbent polymers is being added by Stockhausen, Greensboro, NC at the company's existing Greensboro site. Scheduled to be completed and operational by the end of the third quarter of this year, the new plant will add 25,000 metric tons per year to Stockhausen's capacity, which according to the company, will make it the largest manufacturer of superabsorbent polymers in the U.S. Stockhausen is the U.S. subsidiary of Chemische Fabrik Stockhausen GmbH, Krefeld, Germany, a company of the Huls Group.
