Still so Fonda classic western; ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST 15.

Saddle up for the return of another golden oldie, Sergio Leone's operatic western which also just happens to be one of the greatest ventures into the myth and legend of the Wild West.

On the big screen this tale about the violence that accompanies the building of the railroad is a total delight with awesome, drawn-out sequences.

A favourite scene is at the start as the gunmen wait silently for a train.

All we hear are the sounds of nature - water dripping, flies buzzing and the various bits and bobs of the railway station clanging. Then there is the jaw-dropping moment as the realisation hits you that the cold-blooded killer of an entire family is none other than Hollywood hero Henry Fonda.

Add the haunting musical theme that accompanies the avenging Charles Bronson and a top-notch performance by a grizzled Jason Robards and you have a spaghetti western that is nigh-on perfect.

The film -which was first released 30 years ago - also stars Claudia Cardinale, Frank Wolff and Gabriele Ferzetti.
