Still interested.

Still interested: Indian Natural Gas Minister Jitin Prasada told Parliament last week that India is still interested in buying gas from Iran and heaving it piped across Pakistan. He listed four problem that remain outstanding: pricing; delivery point; project structure; and transit fees paid Pakistan The basic price was agreed on years ago, but Iran has since insisted on raising it. On the delivery point, Iran wants India to pay when the gas leaves Iran, but India refuses to pay until the gas reaches India Otherwise, India would have to pay for any gas that Pakistan diverted. Note that Prasada did not say US opposition posed a problem.
