TIME is running out if you want to see the alien Redcar robots.
Metal automatons - including R2-D2, C-3PO and a Dalek - have been on display at Kirkleatham Museum in an exhibition which has proved twice as popular than expected.
So far more than 19,000 have visited the display, which is entitled "Robot - A Collection of Robots, Cyborgs and Androids".
That's nearly double the 10,000 visitors originally anticipated.
But if you don't want to miss out, you had better get your robotic skates on, as "Robot" is due to wrap up on Sunday, September 10.
Sci-fi fans from across the Northeast and Yorkshire have visited to see more than 40 animatronics from films such as Judge Dredd, Lost in Space, Robocop and iRobot.
The exhibition contains full sized robots, such as the Terminator, film props, costumes and collectables.
Councillor Dale Quigley, Redcar and Cleveland Council's Cabinet member for culture, tourism and communications, said: "It's been a really big success.
"Of course, the famous film robots like R2-D2 and C-3PO have been a big attraction but the domestic helper robots, who help out around the house, were also a big draw.
"We expect the exhibition to remain popular right up until closing day."
Adult tickets cost PS3.50, children PS1.50 and family tickets (2 adults and up to 3 children) cost PS8.50.
