Steve Phillips Joins IPC From Syntegra.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 5, 1999--

(AMEX: IPI), today announced that Steve Phillips has joined IPC as Managing Director, Asia Pacific. Mr. Phillips joins IPC from Syntegra, Japan where he was employed as Business Development Manager based out of Tokyo.

Mr. Phillips has over 30 years of experience worldwide in the telecommunications business. He began his career in the United Kingdom with British Telecom and brings to IPC a broad, global perspective gained from 16 years of experience in Europe, four in North America, and over ten in the Far East.
