Sterling light department announces reduction in costs.

STERLING - The Sterling Municipal Light Department (SMLD) announced that over the next few months, its overall price per kwh will be reduced for all customers as power costs reduce along with the SMLD's cost to serve.

Since last fall, the overall price has been reduced by one half cent per kwh and, without any unforeseen emergencies, the SMLD is anticipating another half cent per kwh reduction by year's end. This would equate to an overall savings of $5 for an average residential customer on a monthly basis.
