Recently, Ms. Anderson completed training to incorporate the ability to provide clinical laboratory capabilities in addition to her Trichology, Hair Replacement and other services that enhances her work with clients who suffer from hair loss. The ability to set a distinction between the beneficial microbes from those with alopecia is the first step that assists biomarkers to predict early hair loss, develop a suitable treatment mechanism as well as enhance hair loss reversal. Can every practitioner assist clients through these processes? The answer is no; a reason for which the services of only certified hair and scalp practitioners should be employed for hair and scalp treatment activities.

This allows Ms. Anderson, as a Save Our Scalps[TM] Certified Research Assistant, to conduct research on human subjects that is approved through a university institutional review board.
"This is truly a game changer for the hair loss industry!" exclaims Ms. Anderson, "The ability to conduct testing by receiving certification from the CITI Program and working with Save Our Scalps[TM] will be an effective weapon to have in my arsenal in the war on hair loss." She can now provide personalised information about the wellness of her clients' scalps. She also offers non-invasive testing of the scalp (via swabbing) and identifying unique microbial signatures of clients' scalp which has been found to influence the severity of hair loss. She will be able to provide information that entrust recommended treatment plans as well as monitor treatment progress.
Ms. Anderson's Trichology practice, in addition to these new certifications through Mane Insights[R] and Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) programs, provides her with an excellent understanding for the causes of hair loss. With the added benefit of scientific research credentials and conducting studies, she has the ability of joint authorship on research publications through consortium of hair professionals and will be featured as a recommended practitioner on the Save Our Scalps[TM] website.
