Steer clear of politics, Dan.

WHEN Dan O'Neill does nostalgia he's often quite good, but when he does politics, as on March 19 (Echo) , he can be complete rubbish.

"No threat of being under the Brussels thumb, we having already lost our sovereignty to the Yanks."

Who does O'Neill think he's kidding?

American law cannot overrule British law. European law can and does.

And the Yanks haven't imposed 25,000-plus regulations and directives upon us during the last 30 years. Brussels has.

And there's more on the way, just read the newspapers.

I think the Echo should restrict Dangerous Dan the Grangetown Man to what he does best, i. e. nostalgia.

Much of his other stuff demonstrates at the very least he ought to change his beer.
