Steel exports to Thailand imposed with a 30% anti dumping duty.

The Thai government has imposed a 30% anti dumping duty on imports of hot rolled steel from 14 countries including Indonesia to replace extra levy which was no longer effective on July 28, 2002. The new policy will be effective for six months slapped on steel imports from Indonesia, Japan, South Africa, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Venezuela, Argentina, Algeria, Slovakia and Rumania Under the regulation importers of hot rolled steel in Thailand are required to have a bank guarantee for steel shipment from the countries or origin including the list of the 14 countries. The fund will be returned if there is no evidence found of dumping.
